The creator of Santos Légal
Lucília has been practicing family law since 2001, after completing her law studies at Université de Montréal. She worked for two major family law firms before launching her own firm in October 2019 to better meet the needs of her clients.
Throughout her career, Lucília has worked on complex cases ranging from the rights of de facto spouses, to same-sex marriage, the right to receive alimony for a sick spouse and international child abduction.
Lucília has also handled various cases involving income determination, notably for professionals. She also represents parents of very young children who wish to establish their parenting time and the terms of parental authority following separation.

Lucília is an experienced litigator and appears before the Superior Court and the Québec Court of Appeal.
However, when the situation lends itself to it, she does not hesitate to pursue settlement discussions as long as there is a possibility of reaching an agreement between the parties, all to avoid the harmful effects of contested proceedings in the family context.

Santos Légal has more than 24 years of experience in family law,
ranging from custody of very young children to contested and uncontested divorces, child and spousal support issues, modification and annulment of spousal support, international child abduction and all financial aspects resulting from a separation.
“The family is the first cell of human society, and family law is the basis of all social organization.”
